I don't see why not as long as it's used to demonstrate something in your article. I might put in tiny print underneath it that it's my AI image though.

The best articles have pictures to go with it, so if you didn't have any pictures or a way to get a picture of something you wanted, then creating your own would help, IMO. Like the old saying, "A picture is worth 1,000 words." So if your AI picture could do that, I'd say go for it!

For a silly example, if you wanted to depict unsafe chickens...
