I started trying not to name them, then one got a limp so I got two coloured ankle bracelets and voila I had Pinky, Bluey and Bob (all hens but I only had two bracelets)
Then naming them with names that seemed very unhen like. Such as Susan and Brenda (really upset my aunty Brenda for some reason - I saw it as a compliment 🤷‍♀️)
Then went towards the 1920s and had names like Iris and Esme.
I’m currently on flowers so I have Rose and Aster with Poppy and Violet coming next year.
I have found one flower called Pignut and much as I’m tempted I just can’t bring myself to use it.
