Good morning, folks! How's you all been? I ended up with a great duck flock. I have two males (unrelated}, 6 females. My goodness are they nice. I got lucky for once. Hi Debbie, Knobby, Trip. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Mark, it was great seeing you on here and so glad you have such a nice flock. My Rouen I recently got is still questionable but my Welsh Harliquin baby I ordered is supposed to be a female and hopefully is. They both make the same sweet sounds but the Rouen has a green sheen on top of its head and is tall but still not as big as my two boys were. Hopefully it is a female. What type are yours? You have a wonderful day too Mark. It is soooo hot here, will be close to 100 today and that is way too hot in a school bus bus such is life.

Hey Mark! It's been a while. Hope you're doing well. I've been busy with planning and attending this year's World Meeting for my motorcycle club, that I haven't had much time to visit here. But now that it's over, time for me to get our coops ready for the upcoming weather changes. Hope all is well, and have a great day also!

Thanks, I told the kids to fill their bookbags up full of that cool air in the airconditioned school and bring it out on the bus so we won't sweat so much. I got a lot of thumbs up from the little ones. Now if they could only do it!!! LOL

On a sad note, I just lost one of my sapphire gems to the heat this morning. Bringing them ice cubes for their water dishes.

So sorry to hear this Knobby. I pray everyone else's flocks stay safe in this heat along with everyone else. It's brutal out there.

Its part of raising chickens. Going to go to the gas station and buy some bags of ice to put in each coop. That way, they have the option to peck at it, or lay on the ice.

Hi Debbie , they are all pure Rouen. The size is very consistent they are large and don't fly they are in eclipse plumage now so the two males don't have their full-dress feathers quite yet This heat is killing me.

I don't think this heat is going to end anytime soon, it's killing me, but my birds have nice cold well water!
