Crowing
My old hen is having difficulty walking, she doesn’t really want to eat or drink. Yesterday she seemed completely fine. She’s 9.5 years old, is this the end?

Thank you, I have separated her in a large dog crate with her best friend, because the others started being mean to her.It is probably close to her time to go. I have had a few hens last that long, even to 11, but many die earlier. Watch to see that others do not peck her, since they may do that once she appears very weak. You might consider ending her suffering, or place her where she feels most comfortable. If that is remaining with the flock, fine, but don’t let others peck her.
Glad to hear she is doing better! She is still alive, I think she looks better than yesterday, she was eating and walking today.
I need to clean this crate, she and her friend usually roost above it, it’s in the run, and I completely forgot to clean it BEFORE putting them in there…
