Good advice!Hi! Welcome to BYC! She may be broody and that means she wants to hatch baby chicks. You don't need a rooster for this and its pretty common. Does she growl at you and puff up her feathers when you come near? And has she been pulling out her stomach feathers? If she has been acting like that she probably is broody. Usually, they sit for 3-4 weeks (that's how long it takes to hatch a baby chick, 21 days) but mine have gone for 2 months before we could break them due to how cold it was and me not being home. I would take her out of the box and put her in a dog crate for 3-4 days or until she stops being broody. Some hens are more persistent than others and it can take longer.

Hah! Same! So silly!Hope she is broody and not sick but there's lots of resources to help you on this site either way!
I just love that sound when they growl like that. Cracks me up every time. It's so funny to hear that noise coming from a chicken.
