I currently have 1 true Olive egger - a black copper maran and I’m pretty positive an ameraucana.
Not 100% but based on the farm I got the other one from, I’m pretty sure she’s a sapphire olive egger.
They are going to start laying any day now.

To the point. I have 2 beautiful cream legbar Roos.
What should I expect when breeding these guys?
Not so much the sapphire.. I bought her as a lavender Orpington lol low and behold, she’s not. But we’ll keep her as a hen for the boys.

Am I muddying up the pool with an ameraucana, black copper maran AND legbar now..

Also, I have 2 midnight majesty marans I plan on breeding with these boys too to get an olive egg.

Thank for your input 💛

Long story short, yes.

Should it be more green than olive? Am I going to get some wonky outcome with 2 blue breeds in the line and 1 dark brown?
I don't think you'd get any wonky colors. It would be a lighter shade most likely, but you'll get both green/olive and blue eggs. Roughly it should be about 50-50 who lays what from the daughters

TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT i HAVE...Bred a Cream Legbar Rooster to a Blue Marans hen...Incubated two of her eggs....Result was one blacker chick with smuggie white spot on head. The other is a lighter chick that also has a smuggie white spot on head...Are they both cockerels? Also in the incubator was a Black Copper Marans Rooster to a Olive Egger hen......Only got one chick and it is basically black with no white spot......Any info would be helpful......Thanks....

No. The father passed barring on to all the chicks

Was the hen barred?

I find it fun to play around with multiple mixes of hens and roosters to get my basket full of different shades of blues and greens.
