Ive heard good things about the Omlett Eglu Cube coop for chickens. Does anyone out here have one of these coops? They boast a predator proof design but im curious as to if its true. Ive purchased this coop and its shipping today. Was just wondering if you all think i made a good investment? Heres a link to said coop:

I live in Canada so a cold weather rated coop is what I needed. And Predator proof is a must since i live in a mountainous area with many predators( bears, racoons, fox, potentially fishers as well)

My elder sister has that model and she's been very pleased with it.
I don't know how it would stand up to a large predator attack but I can't see it being any worse than many of the small coops you can buy.
She sleeps four hens in it without problems but she free ranges during the day in a small back garden which doesn't seem to have any predators.
I don't think she uses the run.
I think if you can ensure the coop stays stationary; pegging it to the ground for example, they are not a bad choice.

That looks easily tipped over by a predator, maybe even a storm wind. And I wonder how they're going to learn to poop between the slats. Lots of cleanup. In a bad weather situation that's still a small area for them to be confined to for a day or more. I'd build my own. 4sqft/bird inside, nest not included. 10sqft/bird in a run.

We have this coop. We like it a lot. In northern Minnesota, known bears, foxes, etc. in neighborhood but no evidence of attempts to enter the coop or run.

We keep the run staked down with tent stakes. The whole contraption is therefore pretty secure, and since the coop is attached to the run, it really could not tip when staked down.

Our friend has one in St. Paul MN and it was warm enough over the winter for four hens without extra heating. We are considering some electrical heating for ours since we're farther north.

The poop that remains on the slats eventually gets kicked down into the tray. We line the tray with newspaper and pine shaving and change it every second day.

Apon further inspection, it is a bit larger than I thought, but the run is small.
The website says 10 bantams or 6mediem size chickens or 4 to 5 large breed chickens. Ill know when i arrive home and build it. Its alot bigget than pictures look thats for sure. Dimensions are bigger than some coops i was looking at TSC country stores.

Honestly? NAY. They are so tiny! :( EDIT: The number of chickens the website says is grossly over-exaggerated. Those birds will be super cramped. IF you go with this, please make sure to research your breeds and make sure they do okay with confinement, or the outcome could be disastrous. I hate to be a negative Nelly but I really despise how these companies say you can fit a too-high number of birds per coop. I am glad you got the run though and that they will have more room in summer.
