Options for pop door- what works best? What about a cutout covered with a cloth?

Would it work out to just put a cloth over the hole and the chickens push their way through it?

Or even something like this. So that I wouldn't have to spend a bunch on an automatic, and they can come and go when they want. Would they actually use this? Has anyone else used it?

The primary reason for pop doors is protection from predators. Fabric or plastic strips isn't going to work. If both your coop and attached run are completely secure then you don't need a pop door. My coop doesn't have one.

They need a way to get in and out on the mornings and nights I am not able to get out there. Currently they only have a standard door that we've been opening and closing for them. But we're going away for a few nights next month and trying to figure out the best method.

Is your run and coop predator proof?

Sadly I don't have a current picture of the coop and run. This was from when we were completing the run door. But anyway you can see here where the door is for the coop, we're planning on cutting a hole in the bottom so they can go to and from their coop/run area. In case anyone is wondering, there is a latch door so they cannot exit into the yard on their own.
