Hello,
We unfortunately have found ourselves stuck with two blue swedish young male drakes. We do not keep any other ducks, only chickens and do not want them to wind up doing the unthinkable. We are trying to find somewhere for them to go before reaching sexual maturity. Located near Roseburg Oregon. We do not slaughter our birds so a roast duck recipe reply would not be a fitting response as commonly as I’ve see that. They are some pretty boys.

put them for sale EVERYWHERE. ask if you can put up 'ducks for sale' signs in the widows of peoples shops. make sure they have your phone number. good luck!!

they are beautiful and I feel the same way about roast duck I could never !
I have had success in the past rehoming Drakes to other poultry owners through Facebook backyard chicken groups, and craigslist and posting notices on bulletin boards in Feed stores in my area. also post this here in the other forums for selling/trading/rehoming .

I wanted to inform you that the dark duck is a Cayuga, not a Blue Swede! :)

All of my boys were rehomed through Facebook - great place to post. I wish you great luck!

Yeah, No. its a Blue Swedish. Which are a heterozygous color breed capable of producing three different colored offspring based on passed on genetics. Cayugas do not have white. You just dont see the breast. Thanks.

Oh, okay!
Still, no, that would make him a Black Swedish. He’s only “Blue” if he has 1 blue gene, and Splash if he had 2 blue genes. He has no blue, so he is Black.
The first word is the color, the second word is the breed.
