I counted the flock tonight and it was dismayed to see that at least eight birds were gone. This little guy was not being taken care of. It looked obvious that the parents were victims of a predator.

The flock is now locked in.

Yes, they are pets. Thank you for the offer. I have raised hundreds of babies OF various species over the years. Most of my pigeons are babies I raised.

I only have doves at the moment! Three Eurasian collared doves

I may be thinking of something different. It is African ringneck Doves I had in mind. Are those two different species? I'm in Tennes

see. A transplant from Wisconsin. I used to have African ringnecks. The pigeons I have are mostly or all white so they look like white doves. My wife gave the pigeons to me for my birthday a few years ago. They were supposed to be homing pigeons. She got cheated as they are just crossed bred birds. They still are nice to have and look at. Beautiful when they are flying through the air or green trees.
