Our first egg!!

Lovely egg! I can't wait until my pullets start laying. I know what you mean about expensive eggs. My hens would have to lay golden eggs to make up for all that I've spent on them so far. But that's okay, I didn't get them to save money. I just wanted to be slightly more self-sufficient and to have eggs from happy healthy chickens.

I can relate to being expensive..lol, 65.00 for 3 bags of feed and 1 bag of scratch. I have had to go back to layer feed as I was not getting enough eggs off of the all flock.

Congratulations, we got our first egg today, she is 18 weeks and 1 day, she never sang though, just laid and then quietly went about her day.

She is an Isa Brown too. She squatted a week ago exactly.

Is so exciting to get your first one. Let this be the first of many for both of us
