Our new cockerel Lenny - I love him to bits!!!

Hi all,

Thought I’d make a wee post to show off the cockerel I picked up recently - I’m sure he’s a bit of a mutt but I know he’s a bantam of some sort (he’s much smaller than all the hens). I was thinking he could be part silkie because of his feather texture but then again he doesn’t have the dark skin/small comb… any suggestions? I’m hoping to breed him with my light Sussex, leghorn and barred hybrid hens.

Oh! He's adorable! He could be a silkied cochin. From what I've read the silkie mutation popped up in that breed spontaneously (although it could have been bred into it as well).

Hi! He is adorable! I have a roo that looks similar, and I suspect he might be a silkie mix (I could be wrong) although he doesn’t have many silkie features besides the feathers. I attached a photo of him

I have no clue about the breeds but what an amazingly cute little guy!
