We have 5 pekin ducks, 1 male. We bring them into our mudroom at night due to night-time predators. 3 weeks ago Angelina was having severe balance problems when I let the crew out in the morning. She was spreading her wings and rolling on the ground so I grabbed her and brough her back inside. (She was fine when we brought her in the night before). We isolated her. It was a Sat and our vet hospital (whose drs are exotic cert not fowl) was closed so we had to wait until Monday. (First I want to stress our vets are saints and go over and above to treat all our kiddos).

Angelina lays down on her side, not able to stand, seems to go in and out of consciousness and had stopped eating. Xrays and blood work done with no real red flags. Vet noticed when she goes out of consciousness, her heart rate drops so she was put on a dose of heart med every other day but no lasting improvement except she started to eat a little. She also has us putting Purina electrolytes for ducks in her water. Then dr tried calcium supplements and we are still doing that because at least she is eating a little bit more (with her head lying flat in the dish). Our vet has reached out to 2 university vet hospitals but no further advice. Today she won't lift her head at all. We're thinking quality of life now and after much prayer will probably have her put down today.

I just wanted to ask this wonderful community if you have any further advice. Angelina is about 6 years old. Has stopped laying after this last moult. The food we give is Purina Duck and yes it has a good amount of niacin in it. No signs of anything poisonous and dr says she would have died weeks ago if it was. Leaning either cancer or neurological.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
