Overwhelmed in Canada

Howdy all. Been lurking here obsessively for about 2 weeks because I am very new to this and I have no idea what I'm doing (but I'm trying!). Never raised or owned chickens (or other birds before) but recently got into it. Long story short, I'm trying to hatch my daughter's teacher's button quail eggs.

Maybe chickens some day. City of Calgary allows backyard chickens as of a couple years ago so who knows! Anyway, thanks for being an information lifeline for me!
