Panicking! Advice please!!!!

It’s a bit early for it, but if they sound distressed, I would do a partial assist. That way, you can see what’s going on better.
Let me see if I can find a chirping comparison video for you.

Here, this is the first baby I ever assisted. This is the distressed call. The sound is fine if they’re making progress, but she wasn’t. I found out she had no egg tooth, so she couldn’t crack the shell at all. I ended up doing a full assist for her.

I have to reread the assist article. I have gone blank. Which egg do I start with? The one that naturally pipped I am assuming? They are beside themselves. I can hear them from the desk now.

Whoever seems the most frantic, I suppose? Starting from the pip / safety hole, use tweezers to gently break away bits of the shell. Open it just enough to see the bill, like in the first clip in my video. Then, use a q-tip and something like coconut oil or Vaseline to moisten the membrane. Take some photos for us, and then put baby back in the incubator.

I have been following and I pray that all goes well. I have had to assist before and it is nerve wracking but it saved a few of my ducks Good luck.

Ok...so i have chipped away at both. No blood or blood vessels thus far. The one that pipped himself looks ready to go. The other one is moving mouth when not chirping to sometimes so...possibly not ready. Applied oil and put them back in. Oddly they are calmer now. Is that a bad sign? They are both crammed in there and a bit stuck

I did not make holes as big as the kathyquacks video because I am terrified inexperienced and aware that I can't undo anything I do. Freaking out
