but that fence jumping dog needs to be contained (laws here say contain your animals to your own property)
otherwise you can shoot it
do you know who owns it
have you called animal control
set a trap maybe catch the dog

Dogs can and do catch athletic chickens. My free range Rhode Island Reds were killed within four feet of the woods. Trees don't help if the chickens don't run to them. They were not afraid of dogs, which put them in danger. There were two dogs who tag teamed. And, as written above, a dog can run them to death, just like they can run sheep to death.

We raised the fence up to 6+ foot but he came back this week and jumped over a spot we didn't know how to raise, our 10-12 foot swinging pasture gate.
