The youngsters are free ranging with the adults. A new way of introducing them I've been trying lately.

I rotate the birds of each coop. Yesterday was the Project Chameleons day for free range, today is the Malays, Project Mini American Games, JungleFowl, & Taiwans. Tomorrow is the Silkies turn.

This is how I do it! Rotation of free-range and the open air pens that are close together. It's been working really well with what I have.

Yeah.
Usually I just stick a few in a doggy crate at a time in front of the run, so they can see the new birds. But have too many for that currently.

Most were moved to their adult coop yesterday.

This lady of mine, didn't lay an egg for me for the entire year, & is now molting. I don't know how a hen can skip a year of laying, but she managed it.
