Pdz chicken coop refresher

My chicks are 6 weeks and are spending alot of time outside in the coop. My question is does this help with pest control or should I also add Saturday Lime? Or just use 1 of these products? I have heard alot of negative about DE so I will stay away from that. Advice and suggestions please

PDZ is not claimed to be a pesticide. Its purpose is to absorb moisture thereby eliminating the ammonia smells that can develop if waste products are allowed to build up.

I have not read anything that indicates problems mixing lime with PDZ.
