Pea Pods- Will they eat them?

Only way to find out is to throw some out to them and see.
My chickens turn their noses up at all green vegetables. I think that's because they free range and get plenty of greens on their own. They are very smart about eating a varied diet and taking what they need.

I have gotten to the point I throw EVERYTHING to the chickens... melon rinds, banana and peel.... just real quick toss....

Then in a few hours I let them out to free range... if they 'reject it' it goes into the compost bin while they are free ranging. I just pull it back out of the run.

So doesn't hurt to try!!!

(P.s. - I don't give them anything that comes from citrus... just in case!)

My two gals eat everything. One of them is a wild caught hen who knows what food is good to eat and what is not. She's the one who convinces the other to eat more variety. I'm sure they will eat it. At first, they may look confused and not want to eat it, but it just takes one chicken to peck at it so they can all attack it.
