peacock sold for food

wow. And I thought the $10 a pound for silkie chicken in the asian market freezer section was steep.

hello, fellow insomniac

Wow...Almost 200$ / 300$ for this ?

I, personally, would feel really bad, awful, for purchasing peafowl meat when I could have bought a living one with that much money instead. >>

Clinton posted that Peafowl meat got really tough at after a certin age, guess they are processing them as younguns.

They do have beautiful meat as i found with Lady Di's autopsy she was very tender at 18 months.

Did you see the going rate for RACCOON?

Holy crap! I know in our area, you can always get a decent price for muscovies, silkies and large red combed roosters because of the Hmong, but that's ridiculous! I remember seeing it in a movie once, where they had cooked it and then "redecorated" it to look like a live one, it was supposed to be set in the 1600s or something, but I thought maybe someday might be worth trying...why not? I guess they're breeding giant guinea pigs (1+lbs hanging weight) in Mexico as a delicacy
