I agree with this.thinking they could have just listed the egg color in the description.
The colors of the birds and the build they show also baffle me. Both Sussex and rocks are heavier birds.....
Even my dog says it is shifty.

I got some of those last year, and I really like them.wouldn't mind trying out some of those Plymouth Blue Rocks!
They may be great chickens but I think it is wrong to call them Leghorns. Just identify what color eggs they lay!Hey all! Thanks for all the info! Appreciate it. I actually called the hatchery (Townline Hatchery here in MI) - this is what they said. The breeding information that is posted is correct. The actual breeders are from the Czech Republic and when Townline gets them (eggs for incubation), the breeders assign them a number (instead of name). So, Townline came up with this name. When I asked why Leghorn, they said due to it NOT laying brown eggs they wanted to put Leghorn in there to let people know - no brown eggs - eggs to be cream off white. Hope this helps! Thanks again for all the info! I did get 3 of these chicks and will post back late this summer/fall how well they are doing at the time.
....how on earth does one get a leghorn from from crossing a rock with a sussex???
Most feed stores, order from a hatchery - ask them where the got the chicks.
Towline Hatchery has "Pearl Star Leghorns" which is a cross between Partridge Rocks and Sussex. https://townlinehatchery.com/product/pearl-star-leghorn/
Townline is a very trustworthy hatchery. I have been there before as they are practically in my backyard. every Single family farm and home in West mi has pearl stars, I think they look exactly like brown leghorns though. I picked one up anyway. I just cannot believ how many new breeds towline has added this year alone!I'd be questioning the authenticity of that website, as they called a Black Sex Link a cross between a Barred Rock and a Rhode Island Red. The pic they have is of a Barred Rock. MY Black Sex Links were solid black!
