Pumpkin may be the top. A good old fashioned cherry pie is way up there too, not the canned filling kind, but one like my great grandma used to make from tart cherries she'd picked. I've never had one like it since then.

@ShrekDawg there has got to be something up with my iPhone. This is yet again not allowing to to say Yah or Yum for Pecan Pie. I say yes to anything pecan. What can I say I am nuts for nuts. LOL

Yay, as long as it is a pecan pie with PECANS and not just goo with a couple tribute pecans on top. I like a pecan crust with pecan loaded filling. Apparently next time I'll be adding a few tablespoons of Bourbon

I never heard or pecans in crust of anything until a recipe I made recently. Pumpkin cheesecake with almond and pecan crust. Delicious! It would a pecan lover dream to have in a pecan pie.

I think a pumpkin or sweet potato pie with praline pecan topping would be delicious. I made a cheesecake years ago with one and it was a hit.
