Pecking on hen

Flock is pecking on one hen. Head and back. Her back is bloody that I have put Diatomaceous Earth on it and removed her from the other hens. Why and what can I do

Is she a new hen? Is she molting? Why did you put Diotomaeceous Earth on it?

Not a new hen. She was molting. D Earth was the only thing I had to stop the bleeding and keep hens off the blood. She had healed and back feathers started growing back. Till this afternoon when I found her. She hides her head so they peck her back

I would go and get some blu-kote or something to keep it from getting infected. is it the entire flock or just some of the chickens? if it's only some bullying her you can separate them out for a week and then return them to the flock and then they will be getting picked on a but (shouldn't be bloody though) so then they won't be fighting.

For the wound, a lot of people use Blu-Kote to prevent the blood from attracting more pecking. I wouldn't put DE in a wound.
