Do they attack the chickens?

Thanks for that. I just updated my location.
Common Myna’s do not attack chickens, however, they do carry lice and like to hang out around the chickens as they steal their food.
CM’s were introduced to Australia sometime in the 1800’s to control insects and are currently one of Australia’s most invasive feral animal.
They out compete native birds for food as they gobble their catch and are very fast on their feet.
They also out compete birds and possums for hollow nesting sites in a particularly aggressive way. CM’s will hassle native parents to the point of confusion so that they abandon their young (native birds do not behave this way/have not evolved with this behaviour), or til death. CM’s then kill any young inside the hollow and take it over. From there, they will not let anything nest, either in a hollow or nest, within the area.
CM’s will have 10 young a season, however, our natives only have 2-3.
They are abundant across Australia’s south east coastline, from Melbourne to the Whitsunday’s and they love the heat.
