So I just went to check on my chickens and noticed that my barred rock has a very pale comb. I cannot go to the feed store this week and ran out of Sav-A-Chick, but I have some pedialyte on hand and was wondering what the dosage would be for chickens?

Thank you.

Just let the chicken drink the pedialyte undiluted--it will drink what it needs. In a pinch Gatorade can also be used. Here is a recipe for homemade electrolytes:

HOMEMADE ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION
1/2 teaspoon salt substitute*--this is potassium
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 gallon water
