So Dyson likes Brexit so much, he's staging his very own mini-Brexit? Haha, I didn't realise he was so funny!

Hi! Unfortunately marek disease spreads allover the plot with feathers dust. But yes, the plan is buy only hatched eggs. (Bielefelder is my favorite) Eggs must be sterilized and egg boxes should be burn.If you hatched your own eggs and bred in future from your own flock it would reduce the chances of bringing anything in. However if it is already in your flock they will be exposed to it. Are you able to have separate areas/coops?
Yes i understand. Unfortunately, in my mind i can not breed (mix) siblings. If in my flock dosnt have marek, then its genetic malformation ( is it wright word? I dont know) Ok, the cochin rooster had twisted toes- upside, also slow development. Faverolle chicken has one eye normal, other blue babyeye, also too small chicken (8 month old, but like 4 month) Both are bought from one person. Possible, both cochin and faverolle parents were siblings. I always will breed chickens- same breed, same color and rooster has to be diffrent blood- oh, sorry my english. I just start breed chickens (spring 2018) so i dont have diffrent generations. Only way is to buy hatched eggs from 2 diffrent places. I have always bad to look those mixed chickens, in my country they say- pig and cuckoo is mixed. Do not offend please, this is my personal opinion.@Morgank it's terrible you are unable to get a necropsy performed to confirm whether or not Marek's!
Some people on here do breed within their own flocks (from non-symptomatic birds in their flock) when they have confirmed Mareks. The reason being the chicks that survive have a resistance!! So they carry a resistance gene with them. When they grow, they then breed them and so on. I suspect it is the way forward!
@microchick explains it a Lot better than I! If you wanted to ask her about it I am sure she wouldn't mind answering your questions!
Wow great pics - some of those birds are really strange looking - what about that roo with his legs really wide apart - is that a game bird?Went to Irish Society of Poultry Fanciers' show this morning. It was great!
