Hi all!

I have a 2 year old female Pekin named Alfie who lives with a rouen sister and our flock of chickens.

Last Sunday, we thought Alfie might be egg bound. She was standing with her tail and bottom down, pulsing her vent, and wings spread out. I brought her inside for two nights and treated her with warm epsom baths, calcium and pain relief. She was acting normally and pooping/eating/drinking. I digitally inspected her, felt no egg. So we put her back outside as being in our bathtub stressed her even more and she seemed fine.

This morning, she began doing the same routine again. This time we left her out with the flock and i’m about to go outside with a tub of warm water to let her bathe.

Anyone ever experience this? I might give her antibiotics this week to see if that helps. Also considering some molasses in case she’s constipated.

Did she lay an egg?
What kind of calcium did you give her and dosage?
Also what did you give for pain relief?

One ml per day of this works the fastest

give orally with syringe (no needle) follow this https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...dications-to-all-poultry-and-waterfowl.73335/

I would bring her back inside because if she has a prolapse out there, the chickens can attack it and shred it. I lost a duck due to this. If she is stressed being alone inside, bring the other duck in with her so she’s not alone.
