Hey everyone!
I’ve been a poultry lover since I was a kid, but only got into poultry shows recently. As the breeding season finishes and I have my grow outs for this year, I am separating my breeding groups back into hen only pens and a bachelor coop for the roosters. However, the boys are having a tough time getting along and feathers are being pulled out!
I am hoping to bring several of the boys, as well as girls to several shows this fall so I want them looking their best.
Should I be penning the roosters up individually so that they do not damage each other? I don’t want to leave them in breeding groups as I don’t want my girls to lose any feathers or get damage either!
Advice is welcome and appreciated
