Our neighborhood has historically had a problem with boxelder bugs aka boxelder beetles. Every year we had great swarms of them around the foundation of our house, living in the siding, and even getting into the house! We dislike poisons and artificial chemicals, and nothing of an organic nature seemed to determine them.

Then we got chickens!

By the end of the first full year the problem was completely gone. I haven't seen a single boxelder bug on my property in years... and I feel sorry for my neighbors who ate still suffering from infestations!

This was an unexpected benefit to getting our chickens. Has anyone else had this sort of experience?

That’s very cool! Maybe you can start a “rent-a-chicken” business in your neighborhood! 😂 Now if they’d only eat flies 😩
