We're told they're everywhere, including inside us, and that we can't escape them. But is there a pragmatic approach to reducing exposure without ceasing to exist?

Will evolution work this out? or will there be a culture change?

Edit: I should also state this is in fact related to the forum I posted. Taking into consideration your feeders, drinkers, all sorts of poultry supplies, feed, feed bags, your land, etc.

I don’t know what PFAS are, but I am obliged to admit that if I don’t see it, it doesn’t bother me.

From a quick google, Exposure to PFAS, some of which have been classified as carcinogenic and/or as endocrine disruptors, has been linked to cancers such as kidney, prostate and testicular cancer, ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, suboptimal antibody response / decreased immunity, decreased fertility, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy...
Manmade chemicals that don't go away and cause cancer, concerning because they are in most household items.

I would say living on your own land and limiting large populated areas would be the best way to 'limit exposure'. These are things I try to not worry about as they are inevitable.

A lot of people get worried about the small obscure stuff while ignoring threats right in their face. Worried about this kind of stuff while being 50 pounds overweight and in real danger of multiple aliments.

Trust the chemical companies? Nope. Better to be organic and use natural products? Probably. But that isn't what is going to make your life hell and kill you.

PFAs are long-term toxins that the average American (and I'm sure many others around the world) have to deal with. They are also called "forever chemicals" because they take so long to break down and are very hard to clear.

Per Wikipedia (so take with the appropriate measure of salt):
Sales of PFAS... generate a total industry profit of $4 billion.
...
In the United States, PFAS-attributable disease costs are estimated to be US$6–62 billion.
This is one of too many cases where industries make a profit on a product where the full cost is actually hidden from the customer because the health effects aren't included in the up-front price.

These are among the innumerable chemicals that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is concerned about harming American health that are already illegal in other parts of the world.

------------

As for myself, I'm not perfect by any means, but I've switched most all of my drink containers and cookware to glass and stainless steel years ago to minimize chemical exposure.

This.

Me too, as well as switching from plastics in everything else I can.
