Any thoughts on this? Individual pens are 4' x 12'.

You could keep a trio in each pen. Nice looking pens. Only thing I would change is the amount of sheltered area you have available for them to get out of the weather, sun, rain, wind, etc.
You could just cover the whole top with corregated sheet metal.

What's the dimensions of the wire?

Covering the entire top was an option. I just chose poorly, apparently. I have corrugated fiberglass panels here that would keep out rain and cut maybe 30% of the light.

The wire is, I believe, 1x2 inch.

Clear or tinted fiberglass panels? 1" x 1/2" welded wire would be better.
That isn't the location your going to set this aviary up, is it? Is that beam just to move the structure or is it permanent?...if so, do you have wire for the flooring? Sorry for all the questions but these come to mind when I observe the photos!

They panels are pretty clear, at least originally. With age they've become frosted.

The battery is on location at the builder's place, not at its final home. The beam underneath is for transportation, and won't be present after final placement.

The floor is currently intended to be dirt. I went back and forth regarding a wire floor, or a solid floor and finally just went with "no floor". It will rest on concrete block, dry stacked rather than mortared.

To be clear, the 12" treated boards between the runs will have concrete block under them, for a total height of around 20". The floor of the runs will be open to the ground. The front of the pens, that visual barrier of wood and concrete will be around 20", but the ground is sloped, and so the rear of the pen will have closer to 28" visual barrier between the pens and between the pens and outside world.

I appreciate the questions. This may not be the last one I have him build, and if the next one is better, we'll then that's better.

I thought the beams were for moving or for temporary setting for the structure.

The concrete blocks, not being mortored into place will shift. Rods can be run into the earth, between the center holes in the blocks but even this will shift in time and especially on sloped ground.

An apron around the entire enclosure might work better than the concrete blocks.
One of my pens was built on sloping ground. My pens have shifted over time but it's on rocky soil, so it isn't too bad of a shift. Split-level enclosure!
