Hi! So I have been making pickles for several years now (Polish dill being my favorite.) Anyone else make pickles? What kind is your favorite? Even if you dont make your own what kind kind is your favorite?

Yep we been making them for a few years here also. Right now got about 2 dozen quarts of dill put up this year. Fixing to put up some bread and butter this evening.

My favorite is pickled okra, then pickled quail eggs.

I use my garden cucumbers to make dill pickle spears in the summer and sell them along with the eggs and pomegranate jelly I make. I do not like pickles and do not eat them. Odd huh? I just make them and they are always a big hit! I just made my first batch last week.

I had run out of printer ink and had to make the label using blue ink. Horrible I know!

I think the blue ink looks good. We sliced our cucumbers today and are canning them tommoro before the sun comes up because of the heat.

I can relate about the heat. 80 degrees and not even 9am here. It's summer, so between 100 and 105 every day! Stay cool!

Just made them today. But we still need to let them sit for a couple of weeks.

I like pickled okra too! Me and my mom just made our first jar of pickles quail eggs as of about ten minutes ago !

P.s. I only have one quail and this is about two and a half weeks worth of eggs! 14 in all !
