Picture Of The Week (POW) Information & Submissions

My little bro and our roo Smokey 🐓. Smokey is a rescue. As a baby his leg was crushed and needed to be amputated. He had a horrible infection and vets told us he would never make it to adulthood. Here he is one year and 3 days later 🥰🐓.
Trust me, from experience, I know that being one legged can be … interesting. Some of my husbands favourite sayings are …
Hotel … we need a ground floor room as my wife gets legless every night,
General … drinking out of your shoe, Cinderella style, has a completely different aspect
General … we do a great thee legged race
.. Smokey and I could have sooo lunch fun together at the airport 😂

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain 😊

Exactly, that is beautiful ❤️ I wish you the best of luck 🤞 🙏. Your husband sounds like a good man and you sound like a strong woman 😁❤️.

A good mindset towards things really makes a difference 😁💗
Or things that really matter ☺️

Not wanting to sound boring or anything; I had a really nasty motorcycle accident. I was lucky as my head, back and internal organs were fine. When in hospital I saw and learned a lot, I saw people come in with terrible injuries and I felt like a fraud. I can never complain about my injuries having seen what I have seen. I have been and I am so lucky. So many people haven’t been and they are the ones who need the support, care and love that we all have within us.
I was 38 when I had my accident I am 62 now and still see myself as one of the luckiest people alive.
Sorry for my ramble 😊

Wow, you are lucky. You obviously still needed to be here for something, not ready to go yet. That reminds me of what happened to my granddaddy. He was in the Vietnam War but before that he was stationed in Germany.( He was 17 by the way), he was riding his motorcycle back to the base when he slid on the snow going 60 MPH into a brick wall. He was left there since it was night. He said he woke up couldn't move and thought the snow was sand and he didn't know what was happening. Eventually someone found him and brought him the US Air Force hospital in Germany. He broke almost every bone in his body. But a little while later he was hurting but continued to fight in Vietnam. He's had so many things like that. But he's still working on there land etc... probably doing stuff he should but that's why I admire him. He's one of the strongest men I know besides daddy of course. And your fine I love story's 😊❤️.

What an amazing man and fabulous life. We have so many people in our history to be grateful for.
I wish I had been as wise as I am now when I was 16. Ooh my life would’ve been sooo much different 😂

🤣 I'm 19 so still young. But even just from 16 to now I have changed soooooo much. In maturity mainly. I was definitely the trouble maker, wild child in the family 😅.

Me too, if you can image an old lady like me being a rebel.
I had green hair and a Mohican at one point, rode motorcycles and got into waaay too much trouble. But I didn’t look around me at what was happening to the world and its people.
We all live in our little bubbles but outside those bubbles the world is falling apart and people are in pain, people that we can help. Look around you and see what is really important.

100% agree with you! That's part of the reason I changed. Don't get me wrong I still know how to have fun I ain't no stuck in the mud. But I think more now and how things I do affects the people around me like my folks. And like you said helping people around me like my friends. I've helped quite a few of them who were going down really bad roads. I've tried to do this cause others have done it for me. A big one is Jesus! When I felt alone and was almost alone. He was there and brought me back on my feet and let me know I am never alone with Him. So he helped me so I try to show that same love to others ya know 😁❤️.
