Picture Of The Week (POW) Information & Submissions

I’ll try and record it one day maybe
Some of the chookens
All the same breed
Beautiful flock of Pekin chickens you got there!
They are so small that they are not destructive to the garden.
I love to watch Pekin bantam chickens run, it is so funny and super adorable. Mine leaps, a small jump and run like a little football rolling.

Yeah I love them 😄, I currently have 16 though they aren’t all pictured there
Some of ours hop and they look like bouncing basketballs
They love to dig holes everywhere though for dust bathing
A couple of my favourite pullets and my two handsome cockerels

❤️❤️......Thank you. They are beautiful!
The roosters are small so I imagine their crows will not be so loud for this breed makes quiet sound so whatever sound they make, it will not be loud.

I haven’t heard a standard breed crow so I can’t say really but these guys sure can be loud.. the buff cuckoo doesn’t crow yet though
We have a third cockerel who is keeping the feather picking hen company (he won’t let her pick his feathers) and he wears a no crow collar that works well

Such a nice feather!
Here is the link of a Pekin rooster crows, it is not loud and he does take a break in between.

I once had a standard size rooster and he crowed a long super loud sound that I feel can cut the sky in half. He wore a no crow collar to ease the sound a bit.

He actually has very weird silked feathers on one side
The no crow collar cuts the white cockerels crow to about a quarter of the usual volume, makes it shorter too
