Actually the only horses that can be called a pintabian is a horse that is pinto marked but is over OR 99% purebred arabian, and has to be a tobiano.
The Pintabian is a breed of horse that has over 99% Arabian blood as verified by the Pintabian Horse Registry, Inc., and displays the Tobiano color pattern. AND the pintabian must have one purebred arab parent

My barn owner was trying to breed for pintabians... trust me it is a long process, but once the horses started being of age, the breed has gotten pretty well established now.

IF the horse is NOT 99% purebred arabian.. but is pinto marked AND is half arabian... it is a Pinto arabian... and can be double registered Pinto/HA.

Half arabs can be NSH, Quarab, Morab, arapaloosa, and other half arab horses....​
