Pipping at Wrong End?

My goslings not hatched yet I helped open the pip a little so he could breathe. But he has been like that for 24 hours

Is he still breathing and chirping? 24 hrs is a long time without any progress, I think. Have you read the very helpful feed on here about assisting?

I'm happy to report that both of my Jubilee's that pipped on their side have successfully hatched! Took 19 hours

That is awesome! And that is EXACTLY the breed that I lost two of due to below the middle pipping! Yaaaaay! So happy for your success!

Sadly it died. It looks like it got an infection
