I’m currently raising a batch of 3-4 week old Pita Pinta Negra chicks from Greenfire farms and I have a runt that is growing verrrrrryyyyy slowly. This chick still looks like a baby and is more than half the size of the others! It had a illness when it was younger, bad enough that I thought it would not survive but it has finally gone away with amprolium in water.I think that illness is what caused his stunted growth but now that it’s gone the chick is starting to grow again!
And he is so much happier, healthier and eats and drinks fine!Do you think he will get as big as the others?or do chicks like this have any issues as adults?any tips to encourage its growth and care for it? I’ve worked too hard to keep it alive so I want to be aware of its future going forward. The chick is on the right side with the others to show size difference.
