....they can chew thru that stuff just as well up high as down low.

It's the metal kind. I've never had any local predator get through chicken wire. I'm sure they could, it's just not happened in the last 13 years. I have a tarp over the chicken wire and down the side that most of the wind comes from for winter.Will work for hawks, but not climbing coons...
