My chicken, mommas, hurt her foot about 5 days ago( maybe she fell off the roost?). After about 2 or 3 days, she was able to put pressure on it and limp, but I noticed her biting at the scales of her hurt foot and that she had removed a few. Today, two days later, she has removed many of the scales and it looks like her back toe is turning black. She seen like shes in pain and is just laying around.

Now here is something to add to the mystery.... Her coop mate died last night without any warning signs of illness. I just found her laying on the bottom level of the coop. Today, when I was checking up on mommas, I noticed her poop is yellow and creamy. She seems weak. I don't know what to do. Please help!

THANKS! I PUT THE OINTMENT ON AND WRAPPED HER FOOT. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH PALE YELLOW CEACAL POOP IN MY FLOCK. HER BUTT FEATHERS ARE STAINED YELLOW LIKE THE POOP. COULD IT BE FOWL CHOLERA? I HOPE NOT.

Please, is there anyone else? She is weak and just laying around.

I haven't seen any worms in her feces. Where can I get wormer meds?

Yellow droppings = bacterial infection. It seems pretty bad by the looks of that leg. I would think a trip to the vet would be the best in this case. If you can't do that, you might want to try to find injectible penicillin. It needs to be injectible or some really strong oral meds. She needs to be treated quickly.
