My chicken has been limping just yesterday and now today she will not get up she still laid an egg but we noticed this on her back does anyone know what it could be? I also should add another chicken started limping too we have separated them both but do not know what it could be

We have 16 hens and two roosters they have a large chicken run and a large coop that can fit about 40 chickens they are let out during the day to free range

It's possible they are getting cut from the roosters spurs.

Have you looked their feet over for bumblefoot or any redness or swelling? Have you added new chickens recently?

You can try doing a vitamin E pill + b complex daily in case it I'd a vitamin deficiency.

How old are the two hens that are limping?
