Beautiful Ducks!!!! I have lots of hens but am only getting one egg a day from one of my Muscovy. It's really cold here still though so I think they are holding out for spring. Where are you located? I am in Ohio.I'm thrilled to share my ducks with you. I have 14 young black runner ducks, 8 of them hens. They started laying on New Years day and we are getting 4 to 5 dozen eggs a week. My husband Craig has business in town today and I've sent 4 dozen eggs with him to share with family members. My daughter said an enthusiastic View attachment 4045263View attachment 4045262yes to "golden eggs".
I love my Runners too. I have three Fawn and White ones along with a variety of other ducks.Runners
Thanks for praising my babies! I have always admired Musvovys. We are on the SW Washington coast and it is a rather cold winter for us near the ocean, high 20s for overnight lows, weeks on end. The lights go off at about 9 PM each night in our poultry house and that might be the factor that is helping egg production. Beginners luck most likely.Beautiful Ducks!!!! Yes I have no lights or heat for any of mine so they are probably just waiting for spring. You are most welcome for the praises. I love ducks. My great Nephew lives out there in Bremerton. I have heard that it is a beautiful state. Thanks for praising my babies! I have always admired Musvovys. Hi! I was scrolling through old posts, slightly to glean new information, but also trying to figure out what our Rouen ducklings genders are! Praise The Lord, our babies are about 5 weeks old now, and happy as can be! but I’m just not sure what gender they are. These are our Rouens.

All of them are males.Hi! I was scrolling through old posts, slightly to glean new information, but also trying to figure out what our Rouen ducklings genders are! Praise The Lord, our babies are about 5 weeks old now, and happy as can be! but I’m just not sure what gender they are.
Would you mind telling me which ones in this picture are boys/girls? I’ll try to compare it to our babies. We’ve never had rouens before!!
Oh goodness, I thought the male rouens had green heads! Now I’m confused!!All of them are males.
Male Rouens will have green heads like a mallard. Females will not, but they will have purple/green on their wings. Rouens of both genders look the most similar (in my opinion) to wild mallards just twice the size.Oh goodness, I thought the male rouens had green heads! Now I’m confused!!![]()
