I inquired to day on whether the insurance is just for if the box gets lost or partially/whole damaged or if it would also cover if the object inside was damaged but, the box was okay. According to my Post Master the contents are covered even if the box is okay.
Not that this was worth dragging up from what..page 15...but it does state it clearly in the 2nd bullet of the picture you posted that such items will NOT be covered. If you've found a way around it, great for you..but the PO always has their rear ends covered when it comes to insurance. Why do you think there is no "next day" anymore. It was nice of you to attempt to try to make me look like a liar. I have been involved in shipping for a long time, both eggs and birds. I find it very offensive that you are questioning my integrity. Why don't you pack up some eggs, ship them with insurance, slam the box around and see if they pay your claim. I can assure you they won't.
Edited to add - for the few issues like this that may occur it is not worth anyone's time or money to bother with insurance, regardless. It is less hassle to just replace the eggs IMO.
