I feel like most of the people who would spend a lot of time on BYC aren't the typical "social media" type. One of the reasons I enjoy BYC is because you don't have to give personal information if you don't want to but you can talk to a community you have something in common with.

I started this thread because one of the requirements of the Baby Fowl contest (Win a Brinsea Maxi 24 EX Connect - the new revolutionary app-controlled egg incubator) is going to be that members follow Brinsea on Facebook *or* sign up for their newsletter.
