Poop Frozen to Feathers

How can I keep poop from freezing to my ducks' feathers? There has been 4 times this winter (my first year with ducks and I'm in Wisconsin) that some of my ducks have come out of their coop with poop frozen to their butt feathers. Is this something that can be super harmful?

It can only really be harmful if it is causing a blockage but to prevent that you’ll need to clean them up under warm water. Trim feathers if you have to. The issue may persist anyway but it certainly won’t have a chance to get better until it’s been dealt with. Don’t worry too much, these things happen.
