I’m really worried about my duck. He’s a mallard, he does the ‘poop dance’ where he runs forward then backs up and poop. I have had him for two days and found him in the pool left by his mother. Before today he pooped really solidly and is health and playful. However today he continues to poop but more frequently. At first I was like that’s just the duck equivalent of peeing because it Was just white. But now I’m exstreamly worried because is milky white every time and he seems to struggle to poop. I really don’t want him to be sick and I have no clue what’s wrong with him.

I’m feeding him chicken food that non medicated and crushed into dust mixed with crushed carrots and water.

I talked to my friends prof, she is studying animal care. Her professor said the problem maybe that his intestines are blocked and if that is the case give him a little olive oil. Or he has worms. Which I though was rare in duck, she told me where I can find medication for that. I tried giving him the olive oil and he only took a few drops, I don’t want to pry his mouth open because he Has a delicate beak.

I would think the intestinal blockage would be more likely since you are feeding carrots which are quite fibrous, are you providing grit? I'm not sure why you are feeding carrots in the first place?
