Time for the reveal!

Pearl is 75% Ameraucana and 25% English Orpington

The main difference is her softer feathering and increased width in the body. She's currently the same height as her Ameraucana mother, but 2 pounds heavier.
I'm excited to see her eggs when she gets to laying age! I'll try to remember to update her pictures when she's full grown.

My English orp Ameraucana cross lays pure blue, just like her mom. Which is funny because she looks much more like an orpington than yours. She's a first gen cross so 50/50.

I didn't want to be too wordy so I just put "pullet", but she's still growing her neck and tail feathers, some on her neck have the little sheaths still on, so it may effect the lines. And definitely the chest has yet to fill out. But we'll see what she looks like all grown out. Likely the wings will stay the same I bet.





Thank you! I was really pleased with the feather quality too Not my doing, it's the hard work of many Am breeders over the years, but she looks smoother still than her mother.
She may be on the light side for a Lavender, but gosh it has a silvery tone that stands out in person.

My last batch of AM lavenders from Cackle have her feather quality! I was very happy with them this round.
