We have 5 d'uccle chicks and the smallest one's beak is smaller and almost parrot-like, is this a problem? We are new to d'uccles and unsure if this should be a fault or a culling point for our future breeding program. Thanks! ( I wish the picture showed it better, I will try to get another picture.)

It looks normal and proportionate for a D’Uccle. All of the show quality D’Uccle I have seen actually had smaller slightly curved beaks like yours. They should not have longer, larger beaks. These pictures are from the Belgian D’Uccle and Booted Bantam Club.

@Happy Hill Farmstead @3eyondblessed I raise Mille Fleur d’Uccles, and their beaks are just as @HollowOfWisps describes. That’s not a reason to cull the chick, especially if it’s eating and drinking well. It still has a lot of growing to do. With d’Uccles, there may be a slight gap on occasion. I’ve had one with the same issue when she was young like yours. It improved as she reached maturity. And from my experience ONLY (with breeding them), it did not show up in any of her chicks.
