Quote: Are these Orps privately bred, or English, or anything other that a straight Buff Orp?
That's pretty upsetting. You may have to limit their time out for now. I would have thought that Orps were big enough. I have very little problem with hawks because the crows hang out here and steal all my eggs. And yes, I give them eggs too. It's better than hawks.HOW DO YOU KEEP HAWKS AWAY? 2 days ago I came home to find a fresh still warm Buff pullet dead right at the doorway to their covered pen. Seems like she was on her way down the open run hill and just didn't make it. Today when we went out to do chores we found another Buff pullet up the hill dead. These are our first & second preditor losses ever. The other day I had an emotional break down, so not expecting that. Today just P'd me off. So other than not letting 9 big orps out of the 12x14 roofed pen what can I do?
They are English orps. But they aren't show quality or "special" as far as I know. Well they are special to me but thats it hahaAre these Orps privately bred, or English, or anything other that a straight Buff Orp?
