They are amazingly inquisitive and exploratory aren't they? I wish I could stop my poults from roosting on the top of the one gallon waterer and pooping in the water. I've rigged higher roost bars and even covered the waterer with a stainless steel mixing bowl but while there is an improvement, the water is still foul and needs to be cleaned several times a day.

My Bronze poult did the same thing. I took the top off the plastic feeder used by my adult birds (the top is basically a wide cone, so highly slanted and no place to stand) and put it on top of the waterer. When they jumped up they just slid off. Be sure the waterer is on stable footing, as the repeated attempts to jump up before they give up can knock the waterer over. I put a small table over the adult bird's feeder to prevent them from roosting on it. You could also just put a tiny table over the waterer. They'd probably enjoy the platform, but you'd probably have to make one that size.
