Open Contest Poultry and Pals Photo Contest—Official 2024 BYC Mini-Contest

Kitty with one of the ducklings. This little baby was about 4 weeks old when she suddenly became paralyzed. After several weeks of hydrotherapy, leg stretches and spinal healing, she took her first steps. We figured she somehow had a spinal injury with swelling. We couldn't afford a vet so I called them for advice and turned to online for help. Kitty was instrumental in helping her walk, she would get behind and push her with her nose to make her move. The duck turned 4 years old on 8/4/24. She has no signs of having ever being paralyzed.

Our cat Tawny, this was rare for her to do. Normally she would babysit the brooder. She was taken with this little rooster, Tiny. He'd just pecked at her nose. He was failing to thrive and passed away the next day after this was taken. He was about 6 months 3 days old and was the size of a 20 ounce bottle standing.
